Canada’s largest quick service restaurant chain,
Tim Hortons, is intensifying its American “takeover” with expansion into New York City.
“Tim Hortons is eager to bring 45 years of success in coffee and baked goods to one of the most important markets in America," says president Don Schroeder. “Coming to New York City is a significant milestone in our U.S. expansion.”
With 10 new locations in Manhattan – including stores on Broadway, in Madison Square Gardens, Penn Station and Times Square – and two in Brooklyn, Tim Hortons is poised for success.
These 12 new locations are in addition to three others that are set to open in Manhattan this August. Those three will open in existing
Cold Stone Creamery outlets as part of an ongoing test initiative to co-brand up to 100 U.S. stores with both Cold Stone Creamery and Tim Hortons operations.
Tim Hortons has close to 3,500 locations in North America, approximately 500 of which are in the U.S.
