FoodService News triumphed at the 2009
Kenneth R. Wilson (KRW) Awards, taking top honours for Best Website of the Year.
A newly added category, the gold award winner –
www.foodservicenews.ca – was recognized for consistently posting relevant, informative and quality editorial content, the website’s visual appeal, ease and clarity of navigation and successful visual integration of advertising elements.
Value-added elements, including the use of web technologies, user ratings and inclusion of other media such as videos, also set
www.foodservicenews.ca apart from the competition. A total of eight websites were nominated in this category.
“(The) winners should be very proud of this recognition because their hard work over the last year helps promote and progress the talents of our rich Canadian publishing industry,” said
Canadian Business Press chair, Alex Papanou, following the 55th annual event held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s John Bassett Theatre June 1.
Recognizing and celebrating Canadian business to business publishing from coast to coast, the KRWs were founded by the CBP in 1954, in memory of the late respected business writer.
